What if Lieutenant survived Amon’s attack on him? Due to the severe physical* and emotional trauma he comes to believe he himself is
Amon. He is still “taking the bending from people”, but with a forceful hit on the forehead using one of his kali sticks (it’s quite permanent too). Sometimes he talks to himself and it sounds as if he is constantly berating his Lieutenant for his past failures…
*lots of internal bleeding, constantly bloodshot eyes, etc
